The Challenge

Strong product. No SEO system.

LiveLink AI had a strong product but lacked a structured SEO and GEO system. Their Webflow CMS was underutilized – the platform had full capability, but meta tags, schema markup, and internal linking had not been built into the publishing workflow. Topical authority was thin, with content coverage missing the mid-funnel and feature-specific keywords where creator-market buyers research purchase decisions.

The brand was also invisible to AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity – the platforms creators use daily to find and compare software. Users asking for video clipping tool recommendations were not seeing LiveLink AI in AI-generated responses. The mandate across four months was to fix both the organic search performance and the AI visibility in parallel.

What I Did

Five-part execution across 4 months.

01

AI Content Writing

Wrote SEO articles targeting high-intent, mid-funnel, and feature-specific keywords relevant to the creator and video production market. Every piece was structured to satisfy both Google's quality signals and the passage-level extraction patterns that LLMs use when generating software recommendations.

02

Webflow CMS Publishing

Personally handled all publishing inside Webflow CMS – meta tags, slug structure, heading hierarchy, schema markup via custom code embeds, and internal linking on every page published. This ensured that no content was live without the full SEO stack applied, rather than publishing first and fixing later.

03

Technical SEO

Full site audit followed by schema markup implementation, internal link overhaul, crawl issue fixes, and page speed improvements. CTR optimization was applied to high-impression pages where rankings were strong but click-through rates were underperforming – title and meta description rewrites on those pages produced click volume improvements without waiting for ranking changes.

04

Link Building

Editorial link outreach targeting creator economy, marketing technology, and video production publications. Quality over quantity was the filter – relevance and domain authority determined whether to pursue a placement, not volume targets. Each link was intended to strengthen topical authority in the creator software space specifically.

05

GEO Strategy

Published brand mentions and citations on third-party platforms relevant to the creator economy and video production market. The goal was to build the authority signals AI models use when generating software recommendations – appearing consistently across credible industry sources increases the probability of being cited when creators ask AI platforms which video clipping tools to use.

Key Takeaway

SEO and GEO done in parallel compounds faster than either done alone.

The organic traffic growth came from improved positions on existing impressions and new keyword coverage. The GEO work built AI platform visibility using the same brand authority signals that also support organic ranking. When both run simultaneously, the authority-building work serves both channels.

The signup conversion result – +59.9% events, +59.7% users – reflects that the content strategy prioritized high-intent queries rather than volume alone. More traffic from people in the right stage of the decision means conversions track the click growth rather than lagging behind it.

FAQ

Questions about this campaign.

What was the GEO component of the LiveLink AI campaign?

The GEO work focused on getting LiveLink AI cited when creators asked AI platforms like ChatGPT and Perplexity for video clipping tool recommendations. This involved publishing brand mentions and citations on third-party platforms relevant to the creator economy and video production space — building the authority signals AI models use when generating software recommendations. LLM referral sessions grew from 584 to 1,232 over the four-month campaign, a 111% increase.

How did the organic traffic growth affect signup conversions?

Signup events grew by 59.9% (48,000 events) and total new users grew by 59.7% (43,000 users) compared to the prior period, as measured by GA4 Signup-Finish events. The content strategy targeted high-intent and mid-funnel keywords specifically, which means a large portion of the traffic growth came from users further along in a purchase decision. That intent profile contributed to conversion rates holding as volume increased.

Was the organic traffic growth from new keywords or improved positions on existing ones?

Both. Average position improved from 15.6 to 11.9 — a gain of 3.7 ranking positions — which increased click-through rates on queries the site was already appearing for. The content strategy also added coverage for new high-intent and feature-specific keywords that were not previously targeted. The combination of position improvements on existing impressions and new keyword coverage drove the clicks from 109K to 166K.

How did working inside Webflow CMS affect the SEO and GEO execution?

All publishing was handled directly inside Webflow CMS — meta tags, slug structure, heading hierarchy, schema markup, and internal linking on every page. Webflow gives sufficient control over the elements that matter most for SEO: title tags, canonical URLs, Open Graph tags, and structured data via custom code embeds. The CMS underutilization found at the start of the engagement was strategic rather than technical — the platform was capable, but the content and structural approach needed rebuilding.
